A blog is an online journal. It is a frequent and chronological publication of comments, personal thoughts and web links on the web.
A blog usually includes philosophical reflections, social or political issues and opinions on the Internet. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging".

| How to create a blog? |
|
To create your Blog on Batchmates go to 'Create a blog' option present on the right panel of the Blog default page. Provide the required details on the page and Create your Blog.

| What is "My Blog"? |
|
Once you have created your Blog, the next time to login to Batchmates Blog, the page that you see is your personal Blog page created by you. This will allow you to post articles and views and share it with others.

| How to send your posts into your blog? |
- Login to Batchmates with your email id/unique id.
- Visit the blog page from the top panel links.
- Go to the write a post link from the right panel links of your blog page.
- Fill in the required entries on the page and Publish your post.
- You can now view your post on the home page of your blog.

| Can I post photographs in my blog? |
Yes you can add photos in your blog.
- Go to write blog page from the right panel link.
- Press the last image on the tool bar of the content space available.
- A pop up Explorer User Prompt shall appear.
- Paste the link of an image that is already uploaded on any of the servers in any site before.
- And press Ok.
- Your image shall appear on the content space.
- Publish your post.
- You can now view the image on the home page of your blog.

| What is an excerpt? |
|
If your post is too large add an excerpt to provide a summary of the post on the front page rather than the full post. You will get the option to do that while you submit your post.

| Can I edit my posts? |
Yes you can edit your posts.
- Go to the Edit Posts link on the right panel of the page.
- Make the necessary changes on your post.
- And Publish your post.
- Your edited post shall now appear on the home page of your blog.

| What are the topics on which I can write? |
|
All the posts written by you should fall under the defined list of categories us. But make sure that your posts are not offensive to anybody or to anything. No obscene post or posts written on abusive subject matter will be encouraged.

| How to get the list of topics? |
- Login to Batchmates with your email id/unique id.
- Visit the blog page from the top panel links.
- The list of topics are provided on the left panel of the page under 'Categories'.

| How do I tell people where to find my blog? |
|
When you are creating a Blog at Batchmates you are also creating a unique URL for your blog too. Thus, the best way to tell your friends about your blog is to give them your Unique Blog URL.

Any batchmates member who reads your blog can post comments on it. But if you wish you can disable the option of posting comments on your blog. You will get the options while writing your posts on the same page.
